Fun game! Definitely loved the art and feel of it, reminds me of something I would have found on Newgrounds forever ago, and I mean that in the best way!
The solar panel upgrades seems pretty useless, what with only decrease the charge time on top, which is already pretty fast. Maybe replace them with an upgrade that increase the amount of battery power from the pickups that well giver bettery power underwater? That would both allow it to increase a bit (but not as reliably as the max battery capacity), how far you can dive, while still reducing the charge time to some extend at the surface (since you also pick up battery charge pickups on the way up, so you gonna end up with more battery when you arrive)
I'm willing to bet that you watche that Limbo spider procedural animation tutorial on youtube (if not then my mistake). Honestly, this is a genius use of the limbs!
I can't say that I've heard of that tutorial. I used Godot's built-in IK (inverse kinematics) and bone systems for the arm animations. Though it wouldn't surprise me if a spider animation would use a similar setup to move legs around.
there definitely should've been a 'more scrap in ocean' or 'scrap worth more' upgrade imo. You barely had enough scrap for one upgrade per couple of dives in the lategame
I gotta say, this is really fun! my only complaint is that towards the end the scrap doesn't really feel like it's worth anything, like i was constantly low on the glass and stuff.
it gets kinda boring when you get all the collection upgrade stuff. right now its going down and im just here commenting. i wish there was a way to zoom out to see more loot or a upgrade to mae more loot. it would be so nice if such a thing existed in real life. a submarine that dives and collects billions of pieces of trash and uses it on itself to collect more trash? amazing.

Fun
Can you make a version for Android users. Please.
I finally managed to clean an ocean! Too bad it's a fictional one.
Max upgrades, 615.7 depth.
8,292 junk 29,112 iron 5,118 plastic 9,979 glass 38,321 copper.
I think I've officially won at video games.
Impressive! Thanks for playing!

I agree with unholy_candy, it does feel like a classic flash game, especially with the art style.

This feels like a flash game in the best way possible. After I beat this, I'll open armor games again. Thanks for making this!

it makes a not-a-game.
there are no choices, really. its like watching a cartoon but you have to click for it to progress.
no, you can very well make choices here, you pick what you upgrade, you control the harplunger
Great game loop and perfect art style. I played on desktop browser. Thanks for the fun game!
looks great.
wasnt a game, tho.
its more like a cartoon. about a sub.
Cool, feels like old school flash games! You hit my nostalgia...
Oh hell yes this makes my brain happy, I love the visuals and the catching mechanic as well!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for playing!
